I want to start by recommending that if you haven’t already, please read my blog post What is Intuitive Marketing. It will help you to understand the concept a bit better so that when we dive into the elements below, you’re in good shape.

Intuitive Marketing is very much a soul-centered process. In order to create a solid marketing strategy and take advantage of the many tools in your marketing arsenal, you’ll need the following elements:

1. - Listening

Inner listening is the key to a successful intuitive marketing strategy. Take the time to ask yourself important questions like, “What do I truly want and need? What makes me passionate about my work? Why do I do the work that I do?” Take the time to love yourself enough to ask the tough questions. Listening to your answers are so crucial in discovering your soul’s purpose. Listening allows you to identify limiting beliefs, understand your motivations, and connect with your overall needs. Listening provides so much clarity and focus and helps to drive you forward into action.

It is also important to remember to listen to the Universe, your spirit guides, ancestors, angels, God/Goddess, etc - whatever additional forces that you work with in your spiritual practice. Allow their guidance to help you along your path as well. Listen to the messages that they are trying to send to you and work with them on your journey of listening. This is a great reminder that you’re not in it alone.

2. - Trust

I have had so many clients second, third, and fourth-guess themselves. They have come up with an amazing idea and then they begin to tear it apart and focus on the cons. The fear of the unknown, the self-doubt, and the feelings of unworthiness over-ride everything else, which causes confusion, anxiety, and overthinking. Not trusting your abilities and ideas are a MAJOR hindrance to action. It stops you from moving forward, delaying progress and keeping you from reaping the rewards of your hard work and brilliant ideas.

Trusting yourself is a major component of building a marketing strategy that you can be proud of. Trust fuels growth and evolution. Take that leap of faith and allow yourself to move into the unknown. this trust is a huge act of self-love and with trust comes confidence and optimism. I want to challenge you to believe that what you have created is amazing because it is yours. If you do the best with what you’ve got, then what more could be asked of you? Have faith in yourself. Trust and move forward. Things will work out and if they don’t, you’ll be rewarded with the knowledge that comes with risk-taking. Then you can try again.

3. - Authenticity

One of the reasons why marketing has received a reputation as being “the sleazy part of doing business” is because so many sleazy liars have messed it up for the rest of us. The history of marketing is full of false advertisements, snake oil salesmen, misinformation, and flat out lies. People have been led to believe that they have to transform into someone they aren’t in order to be successful. But the truth is that, clients and consumers connect most with brands and businesses that not only provide a need but are genuine and honest about their offerings. Authenticity in marketing means being who you are and then creating a brand that reflects that true personality. It also means sharing your story, crafting messages that are open and clear, and connecting with potential clients in a real and meaningful way.

4. - Connections

Let’s dive deeper into connections. Externally, social media is a perfect example of a marketing tool that is based heavily on connection. Sharing your stories, inviting others to comment on your day, your thoughts, and your projects and the abundance of interactions that happen through social are all about creating connections. Connections that will turn into relationships.

Another way to think about connection as it has to do with Intuitive Marketing is to understand how the work that you do within (listening and self-trust), leads to a greater connection to spirit and your soul’s purpose. It leads to connections with nature, family/friends, and it fosters our abilities to connect in a real way with our clients. When you craft an email newsletter and share an important story or resource, you’re building a connection with your clients. When you do a 1-on-1 or consultation, you’re building and nurturing connections and when you are intuition driven, those connections have the ability to be sturdy and long-lasting - resulting in fulfilling mutually beneficially relationships.

Stay tuned. In a future blog post, I’ll share some tips on how to better tap into and develop each of these elements.
