Why developing Intuitive Gifts are so important
Your intuition is a gateway into your soul and your unconscious. It stores your fears, your hopes, and your deepest dreams.
It tells you when to run and when you’re in love. It is that gut feeling or the little voice in your head.
Many of my most important life decisions have been made in partnership with my intuition. And as I continue to learn about intuition and how our unconscious brain works, I have come to appreciate intuition and the variety of ways our intuition presents itself.
These different intuition manifestations are generally referred to as our Intuitive Gifts. Some people also referred to them as Psychic Abilities. All humans have them. They are our instincts and what helped early humans navigate harsh environments with deadly predators.
There are many different Intuitive Gifts and none us have only one. The most well-known of the clairs is Clairvoyance. Clairvoyance means clear seeing and involves the receiving of visual messages. The other clairs that seem to be the most popular and easily identifiable are claircognizant (clear knowing), clairaudient (clear hearing), and clairsentient (clear feeling).
I’m going to talk more about these gifts in another blog post but first, let’s discuss why they even matter.
You should know that these are all my own opinion and I don’t have a degree in Intuition or anything. But I have done a lot of research. Having been on (and continue to be on) my own intuitive journey, I want to share my experiences and thoughts with you.
Here are 4 Reasons why Intuitive Gifts are important to develop and nurture.
TRUST - When you are in tune with your intuitive gifts, you will trust yourself and your abilities more. If you believe in that gut feeling, listen to that little voice in your head urging you to action - then you are exhibiting a true trust in what you are trying to tell yourself. Just imagine coming up with an idea and then trusting completely that it is the right choice and will work out in your favor? How good would that feel? Trusting yourself, trusting your gut - is such an act of self-love.
CONFIDENCE - Understanding the way in which you process and take in the most crucial of information from your intuition, leads to confidence. As you embrace your intuitive gift you will naturally improve your self-confidence. If you trust yourself, you can move forward unhindered by self-doubt. Additionally, this confidence will help you in your personal relationships and career decisions. Imagine all you could do if you were only more confident in your abilities to do them.
INDEPENDENCE - As you nurture your intuitive gifts, the trust and confidence will allow you to also become more independent. Decision-making will be easier. You’ll have a sense of autonomy and you’ll be able to more easily navigate the world on your own. Of course, getting advice and support from loved ones is always a beautiful gift, but this advice will only strengthen your resolve and give you a boost. Personally, I have felt so much more independent and empowered since really connecting deeper with my intuitive gifts. I feel much more able to stand on my own two feet and #adulting isn’t such a burden because I am feeling so much more confident in my abilities to navigate my world successfully.
CONNECTION/COMMUNITY - Your intuitive gifts when developed and nurtured lead to not only a deeper connection with yourself and your higher purpose, but also to others, and (if you’re spiritual) with your spirit guides, ancestors, deities, and/or the universe. I have found that these enhanced connections create greater empathy for and understanding of others. As my connections to others improve, these relationships grow into a wonderful community of like-minded, diverse, and supportive people.
